  SHORT STORY - MICHAEL DIXON (GBR)
DIXON has a long history in Olympic competition. His first Olympic WinterGames appearance was as a Cross-country skier at the 1984 Sarajevo Games.Soon afterward he decided to convert to Biathlon. 1 year later he placed13th in the Individual event at the 1988 Calgary Games. He bettered thisresult by placing 12th at the 1992 Albertvill Games in the 20km.Unfortunately due to illness at the 1994 Lillehammer Games he finished54th.DIXON will make his 5th Olympic Winter Games appearance, a British record.He continues to serve as a Sergeant in the Royal Engineers based in Hamlen,Germany.
